Policies
All orders require 1/2 down and the balance due when the model is finished.
I provide free touch up paint work on the model while its in the original owner's hands.
* This does not cover breaks or damage to resin underneath. Email me for an estimate*
I can not accept more than 2 models from one person at a time.
Each model is packed with care for return shipping, and all orders are shipped insured. No exceptions.
Caring for your model after it arrives.
Models should be stored in an environmentally controlled room. Exposure to extreme heat or cold can damage the paint and model. Also the sun can damage paint work as well as resin structures. So keep out of direct sun light.
When packing for shipping or going to a show, your model should be wrapped in a clear plastic bag first. DO NOT wrap toilet paper around the unprotected model. Toilet paper can be added after the clear plastic bag is in place. The fiber in toilet paper can work its way into the paint and damage the paint. In most cases no touch up can be done to save the paint. It must be stripped and repainted. Always remove bases from the model if they come off.
Performance classes are fun, but make sure you remove all tack right after you finish the class. Tack left on for hours or days can damage the paint, and sometimes no touch up will fix the damage.
Most rubs can be repaired with soft pastels. Email me for a color guide. These are easy to apply and can be erased if you use too much. Do not try and touch up areas in acrylic or oil paints. These paints dry a different color than what they look like when mixed. You are very likely to damage the paint beyond repair if you use them. Soft pastels should be grounded down into pastel dust and applied with a chisel brush for the best results. Layering pastels may be required to get the best look. Adding Testor's dull cote to seal in the color is advised. Please follow the instructions on the can. You can ruin a model with over spraying, spraying too close or touching a model before its dry.
